Kapit Bisig Global Conference and ICHRP 5th General Assembly

The International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines (ICHRP), in partnership with the Friends of the Filipino People in Struggle (FFPS) and the International Association of Democratic Lawyers (IADL), will be holding a conference titled Kapit Bisig: Linking Arms Across the World Against the US War of Suppression on the Filipino People on September 25 to 26. Afterwards on September 27, ICHRP will hold its 5th General Assembly. The events will feature guest speakers and workshops on the struggle for human rights in the Philippines, cultural performances, and strategic planning for the future of ICHRP.

In the context of instability, intensifying inter-imperialist conflict, and the escalating attacks on political, social, and economic rights of the Filipino people, the imperative for solidarity and resistance grows. The path toward peace, human rights, and justice, long established by the Filipino people, continues to garner the support of the international community. The conference and 5th General Assembly is an opportunity to seize the moment to collectively educate ourselves on the changing global context and forge stronger unity against the worsening US war of suppression on the Filipino people.

The Kapit Bisig conference and ICHRP 5th General Assembly will take place in Toronto, Canada from September 25-27, 2026. For those attending all three days, the registration cost will be 175 CAD / 130 USD / 110 EUR. For those only attending the Kapit Bisig conference (September 25-26), the registration cost will be 150 CAD / 110 USD / 95 EUR.

Conférence mondiale Kapit Bisig et 5^e assemblée générale de l’ICHRP

La Coalition internationale pour les droits humains aux Philippines (ICHRP), en partenariat avec les Amis du peuple philippin en lutte(FFPS) et l’IADL (International Association of Democratic Lawyers), organisera une conférence intitulée Kapit Bisig : Unir nos forces à travers le monde contre la guerre de répression menée par les États-Unis contre le peuple philippin, les 25 et 26 septembre. Ensuite, le 27 septembre, l’ICHRP tiendra sa 5e Assemblée générale. Ces événements se feront autour des intervenants invités et des ateliers sur la lutte pour les droits humains aux Philippines, des performances culturelles, ainsi qu’une planification stratégique pour l’avenir de l’ICHRP.

Dans un contexte d’instabilité, de conflit inter-impérialiste croissant et d’attaques de plus en plus sévères contre les droits politiques, sociaux et économiques du peuple philippin, l’impératif de solidarité et de résistance se renforce. La voie vers la paix, les droits humains et la justice, tracée de longue date par le peuple philippin, continue de recueillir le soutien de la communauté internationale. La conférence et la 5e Assemblée générale sont l’occasion de saisir ce moment pour nous former collectivement sur l’évolution du contexte mondial et forger une unité plus forte face à l’aggravation de la guerre de répression américaine contre le peuple philippin.

La conférence Kapit Bisig et la 5e Assemblée générale de l’ICHRP se dérouleront à Toronto, au Canada, du 25 au 27 septembre 2026. Pour les personnes assistant aux trois jours, le tarif d’inscription sera de 175 CAD / 130 USD / 110 €.
