Mong Palatino is a Filipino blogger, activist, and former legislator. He is currently the secretary-general of Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN). Mong is the the Philippines’ first ever elected youth representative, serving in the senate from 2009 to 2013. representing the Kabataan Partylist. He is also the Southeast Asia editor for Global Voices, an international organization for the promotion and defense of citizen journalism.
Mong is a leader of the mass peoples’ movement in the Philippines, and advocate for liberation from US imperialism.
