On April 19, state forces of the US-backed Marcos regime carried out a ruthless massacre of 19 people in Toboso, Negros. Among those killed include ICHRP-US leader Lyle Prijoles, Anakbayan USA member Kai Sorem, Altermdeya journalist RJ Ledesma, University of the students Alyssa Alano and Maureen Santuyo, and Peasant organizer Errol Wendel.

Since April 19, multiple reports have indicated this massacre constitutes massive crimes of war, including the failure to distinguish between combatants and civilians and the killing of some combatants who had been already rendered hors de combat (out of combat). A recent autopsy performed on 5 of the victims indicated victims were shot from behind and killed while injured, while state forces also returned the wrong body to the family of Errol Wendel.

The families and victims of the April 19 massacre, including the community of Toboso, are suffering the impacts of this brutal and unjustifiable attack of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. ICHRP is calling for donations to support the victims of the attack, their family and communities in Negros.
